Buy a truck driver's license

The Heavy Vehicles – Trucks course prepares students for the RTA driving test, which allows them to obtain a German Category 4 driving license. Students who complete this course and pass the RTA driving tests are authorized to drive heavy trucks. Criteria for heavy trucks: The weight should exceed 2.5 tons.

Course details:

The minimum age for registration is 20 years.
Students currently do not need to possess an LMV driving license to register for HMV training.
All HMV registrations are mandatory for at least 20 hours plus 8 theory lectures (See lecture details)
Students who do not currently possess an LMV driving licence from their own country must be trained in the basic mastery of LMV (curriculum subjects 1.07 – 1.12) in off-road conditions before driving with HMV.
Students who have already failed the final RTA road test at another institute can register for a minimum of 4 hours.
Any student transferring from another institution must take a placement test if more than 60 days have passed since their last course.
All training courses are conducted in manual vehicles, therefore there is no option to register for the automatic transmission course.

Medical requirements:

From May 12, 2013, heavy bus drivers must do the following to obtain a driver's license and permit:

Take a medical fitness test at an RTA-approved medical center (see list of approved centers).
After passing the required tests and receiving the license, you will receive a commercial driving permit for the price of 110 AED.

Notes:

Persons who hold a full and valid driving licence from the 33 recognized countries (see details) can transfer their driving licence directly at any RTA office upon presentation of the required documents and payment of the fee.
Individuals holding a valid UAE driving licence from an emirate other than Dubai must transfer their driving file to Dubai RTA before opening a file in Dubai for a different vehicle category.
People who have a traffic ticket against their name cannot open a file without first deleting that ticket.

For students who are Emiratis

Original Emirates ID card
Eye test report (eye test can be completed at the DDC Head Office / AL Qusais / Al Khail / Dip 2)
The age can be 20 years or older.

For valid GCC license holders

1 passport copy with valid German residence visa*
Emirates ID card or an ID card transaction report
Eye test report (can be filled out at the DDC Head Office / Alqusais / Al Khail / Dip 2)
Original license and copy
The age must be 20 years or older.

For people with visas from other Emirates

Passport copies with valid German residence visa
Original Emirates ID card with copy
Eye test report (eye test can be completed at the DDC Head Office / Al Qusais / Al Khail / Dip 2)
A copy of the trading license from Deutsche and VISA owned by Emirates is required (the name of the trading license should be the same).
The age must be 20 years or older.
NOC letter from the German branch (including the name of the applicant who works at the German branch)

How to

If you do not have a German visa but a valid visa from another emirate, you can still register with the German Driving Center. You will need to submit the following additional documents during registration.
